Bob McConnell

President | Vision & Community Lead

Bob joined the Tehama County Photo Club during its first year and later stepped into the role of President to help guide the club into its next chapter. While not a founding member, he has been part of the club since its early days and is focused on building a welcoming community where photographers can connect, learn, and grow together.

A retired U.S. Navy veteran, Bob went on to build a career as a professional photographer. Today, he provides portrait services by setting up a full mobile studio at assisted living communities, allowing residents to be photographed comfortably in familiar surroundings. His work is rooted in respect, patience, and storytelling.

Bob’s favorite photographic subjects are architecture—especially historic main streets like downtown Red Bluff—where light, texture, and time intersect. He shoots with a Nikon Z9 full-frame mirrorless camera and is currently expanding his creative range by exploring bird photography, enjoying both the challenge and the slower pace it demands.

Barbara Luzzadder

Founding Member, Artist & Photographer
Barbara has devoted over 60 years to her love of photography and became one of the founding members of the Tehama County Photo Club. She serves as its treasurer and secretary.

Expression through the arts has been her lifestyle. She's applied her background in traditional art to photographic artistry. Photographing whatever catches her attention, she also enjoys creating still-life compositions with traditional or more contemporary themes.

Calling attention to the subject's uniqueness, while composing it through the lens is only part of it. Finding the story and giving it a new dimension, is the goal. She is
passionate about sharing the importance of art in people’s lives—whether in the process as creators or as those who appreciate art in its many forms. Photography lends itself to both, and can personally be very gratifying.

TonyMaxey-1

Tony Maxey

Founding Member, Photographer
As a young boy in the late 1950s, Tony received his first camera – a Kodak Brownie box camera – from his mother and has been hooked on photography ever since. Over the years he has photographed a wide variety of subjects both on 35mm film and eventually digital cameras.  In 2005, he joined up with several other photographers who together founded the Tehama Photo Club.

These days he is retired, but still very much enjoys his photographic hobby.  Favorite subjects for Tony include nature, landscapes, macro, architectural subjects--basically whatever catches his eye.  He most often takes photos with his high megapixel 'full frame' mirrorless digital camera, but occasionally still enjoys the aesthetic of film via both 35 mm and medium format film cameras.

Additionally, his current interests include both video and drone photography
